Paintball Hints and Tactics Article!

A story from a pro Paintballer! I started thinking back when I first got onto the All Americans; I was so pumped to be on a pro team finally and I was still in the mentality of a kid who was playing his first tournament. As I looked around in the huddle I noticed that Adam wasn’t really getting too excited. I asked someone why that was and they said, “Do you know how many tournaments Adam has been to?” To me that didn’t mean anything and I remember saying that I would always be fired up all the time – oh how things change. This last year playing in Norfolk I would find myself not caring who we were playing and not having to get so psyched before the games because I had been in the same situation so many damn times it was like a routine to me. I go to the field; I get geared up, shoot anyone in my way, pack up and go home. I always tell people to try to have fun when they play but the reality of the situation is that I have been playing so long that I only have fun when I win. How do I keep motivated? Keep on winning? One problem: What happens when you lose? Well, I absolutely hate losing, but through my Pro career in Norfolk I have lost a lot and as much as I hate it I have learned to deal with it and move on. Use it as new motivation for paintball the next time I step on their field. It is hard for some to grasp, just as hard as it was for me when I was younger. I guess when you’ve been playing for 14 years in norfolk you can come find me and tell me I am wrong.
