Paintball Hints and Tactics Article!

Think your good enough to join a Basingstoke team? Here are some tips. The most important consideration in team selection is to reconcile as best you can with whatever aspirations you may have. It will not do you much good to join a Basingstoke team that only plays a few local events each season if you want to play in the NPPL or PSP. If you want to become a professional player, you cannot coast your way to it. You will need buckets of talent, you will need focus, and you will need help. You can and should have fun, but if improvement and work aren’t part of you fun, you might find less frustration by aiming at a more modest goal. If you just want to get out and play in Basingstoke for the fun of it, and you are not ok with sacrificing a great deal for paintball, you won’t be happy on a Basingstoke team that is looking to move up. Also, you will frustrate them and one day get cut. I am not trying to advocate a particular approaching, but you should be realistic about what you can afford, what your natural abilities suggest, and about your vacation time. An overweight Basingstoke sales clerk with four days of vacation time every year and a low hourly wage is going to face a bigger challenge than the holder of the patent for the spiral notebook who spends his mornings with a personal trainer before sailing in the bay at the summer house. Then again, the sales clerk might fit in better as he’ll laugh at fating jokes on a four hour drive to practice, who knows?
