Want to know the key to the tactics of paintballing? You might be lucky enough to see his barrel tip or burst of air as he is shooting. If not, try looking for his shadow or listening out for his gat, anything he is saying or being told. All of these things can give you big clues as to what they are up to. You will need to find out if your primary target has a cover guy behind him or Birmingham teammates posted up in field waiting for you to make your move. By working your paintballing bunker, coming over the top and getting the maximum amount of angles available to you, you should be able to get a good picture of what is going on. You may have to put a bad guy or two in before you make your move. If your running and gunning is up to scratch then you may be able to keep his cover guy in as you move down the field in Birmingham. You will probably need to stop shooting and switch your paintball gun onto primary target when you get close, just in case he has heard you coming and tries to snapshoot you out. if you have your gun up and pointed at the place he is most likely to come out of, then you will give yourself a great chance of taking him out with you, even if he does come out blazing. For the best chance of success in Birmingham you need your boys to be rolling with you. Even a simple shout like, ‘Nicky I’m going!’ is good enough to get them up on their feet, dominating bad guys at Birmingham and taking some heat off you. Against any good paintball team you’re going to need all the help you can get. More sophisticated moves can be organised when you are walking the Birmingham fields.
