Paintball Hints and Tactics Article!

Paintball can be a great way to keep yourself occupied in Middlesbrough. For someone like Steven ‘Doc’ Draper, breeding a champion paintball team has become a kind of therapy. His son died of a drug overdose. Doc’s son was hanging out with a rough group. Not a bad kid by any means, it was the classic case of a confused youth falling into the wrong crowd. Doc takes up the story, “We were using paintball as a way to introduce him to a new social group, to keep him away from the allure of drugs.” In a crusade to prevent other young men from making the same mistake, and his commitment to the remaining five players on the Middlebrough team, Doc decided to keep the team going, along with his younger son, to help prevent others from falling victim to violence and drug abuse. Now, he has become a sort of paintball mentor. 90% of the players on Doc’s Raiders are from single parent families. Because the parents are so busy trying to earn money they are not as involved with the lives of their kids. In turn, the kids develop a lack of discipline . “They have everything that they could need but they still lack that basic ability to be tough and work through adversity which can hold true in Middlesbrough. I tell them that this not a game for wussies. It is a very physically and mentally demanding. You go out, get destroyed and you are left with two choices: either pick yourself up and get back in the fight or tuck your tail and run. That’s how life is. So we play Paintball”
