Paintball Hints and Tactics Article!

Personally, I take our sport as seriously as I took northmapton uni sports growing up, but there are some players out there with the pro status who don’t, and they forget to deal with the basics of paintball. If you look at profession sports in general you don’t see the NFL, NBA team scrimming every single practice. They are working purely on fundaments, the simple stuff. As paintballers, we can always become better snap shooters, better laners and better movers. If you’re a real pro you don’t need me to break down drills for you, you already know how to play in northampton– and if you don’t then the better for the rest of us! Given that you do know the drills, then off-season is a great time to figure out your weakness on them. Now there are tons of amateur players just as good or better than many pros and the one thing I notice about a top amateur player is the hunger in their eye. They want and they want it bad. This is why as an up and coming amateur you want to work harder at every aspect of your game. When doing drills, like the pros, you need to work on the simple stuff. Its also worth getting more game time in, so play every single northampton tournament you can afford – the more experience the better. Its very frustrating when a player asks to try out for a pro team and they’ve only played five tournaments and practice one and month. It drives me nuts that players think playing paintball for six months makes them pro eligible, to me it’s a complete insult to our sport, its out lifestyle! In addition to drilling fundamentals, play lots of one-on-one and two-on-twos. This will help you see the field and work on out smarting your opponent.
