Paintball Hints and Tactics Article!

You must be able to cover key zones when playing paintball at the Portsmouth Venues; most zones you need to cover are those gaps, those small pieces of open ground, that your opposition needs to run across on their flights to important bunkers on the fifty. This will keep the opposing team from taking those positions themselves and controlling the field. With today’s game being as fast as it is, however, its important that you don’t get too bogged down in the whole issue of zoning. If you have too much of a zone mindset, then you’re stuck watching paintball lanes and you’re not taking the ground you need to smoke fools. Shooting and moving is very important in paintball today whether paying in the woods in Portsmouth or in a touranmant. Being able to shoot your opponents in and make the bump is key in making a great move. The most valuable team set-ups to work towards on the field should generally be designed for gaining and controlling the all important fifty bunkers. This is essential so your opponents don’t get control of the winning spots instead of you. Here are some other usefil bits of advice to take into account when setting up your field positions, either before or during the game: Make sure your back guys are alive and set up to either defend or finish the game, depending on the situation. Set up the field so your mid guys can mature as the game goes on and then finish or make a great move to win the game. I think one of the most important set-up aspects is making sure each player fits in their spot and understands their position on the field in portsmouth. With today’s game being the way it is, really you have to be very versatile. The days of back guys only or front guys over only are over. We have front guys playing corners (Xball) and back guys having to make a fill to the fifty; everyone has to be versatile and everyone needs t shoot lots of paintballs.
