Communication is probably the single most important factor in sweeping up and shouldn’t be under estimated when playing Preston. Every player needs to know the codes and understand what they mean. Communicating the position of the opposing team back and fourth between your players is key, as is knowing what lanes the opposing teams players are shooting so you can put together a finishing move. If everyone is rolling their guns in Preston and talking this usually means the momentum is going your way. Ever watch a team that is losing? Its usually pretty quite. Everybody needs to work together at paintballing so you can maximise your winning percentages. Simply relaying codes back and fourth helps the team process moves and also keep track of players. Run-throughs are very important because there could be a situation where the opposing team is giving you nothing to shoot at, and the field might be designed so defensively that the opposing team can live even if you occupy the fifties. This is where you might have to sacrifice a player to exchange with the other team there will be benefit in this and it might make you win a preston tourney. Try and pick a lane that you get the opposing team as clean as possible. Also, make sure if you are the run-through player you get your target. Don’t get greedy and try to shoot everybody – get your main target then if you’re still alive get more. Also, your other Preston team mates need to provide cover fire and also make big moves when you are creating all the commotion. Its important to play Paintball off one another. Some formats of paintball are better than others for individual skills but it as a whole we still have to play team ball.
