Rotherham is located in South Yorkshire. It has fantastic access via as it is located just off the M1. It neighbours Sheffield, Barnsley and Doncaster. The area is dominated by the rolling countryside, which means the region has some of the best outdoor sports centres the UK has to offer. The landscape is perfect for venues, with many of the companies preferring to keep their paintball site as natural as possible. This provides a unique experience, unlike many other locations throughout the UK.

Have you ever considered becoming a top level paintballing free agent and playing in Rotherham? When a player on the field has an issue that takes them out of play for a bit, you need to be ready to be the warm body filling that spot. This will enable you to become accustomed to playing in various roles with different players of different capabilities. The players you join in with will probably have a job for you to do on the field. They may need a player holding a lane, or someone who can make moves up the field and get into position to shoot the other team before they can adjust to the new angles. A free agent must cultivate his ability to fill paintball roles different spots on the field with little notice. Carry more paint than you think necessary for a front position – you can always drop a few pods behind the start box or carry the extra weight to condition your body. Supporting someone on the field will win confidence, which is a precious commodity when you are not part of a regular paintball roster. Of course, shooting a lot of the other team will work too…. Knowing team captains and enjoying their confidence is important if you want to receive invitations to paintball training days and events. Practice changes when you are a free agent: When you are a member of a team, the goal with each practice is to improve your skills and become more consistent in performing at higher level of play; when you are a free agent, you are still trying to improve your game, but you are also in continual tryout mode. How you play with a thrown-together team may be observed by people who will decide whether or not you can add something to their team. This changes the focus, and involves a bit more pressure in Rotherham than a typical practice.
