Paintball Hints and Tactics Article!

To improve how you play paintball onfield in Sidcup at hitting things without much time to aim, simply pick a target and turn away from it 90 degrees. You want it just out of your field of vision. Turn quickly and shoot it once. Turn away again, and take a step. Turn again and shoot the target. You can select a netting pole, the corner of a bunker, the cone or stake the flag hangs on in a centre flag-oriented field, whatever. Skills like this improve from huge numbers of repetitionyou gotta spend time in Sidcup doing these drills over and over.. You are training yourself to do something without much help from your conscious mind. You will need to do this a lot – the good news it that you will have many opportunities, pretty much every time you walk on the field. Running and shooting is probably one of the most important skills to take onto into the game at sidcup, particularly for guests. Not being as familiar with the team you are playing with, you will often have to set up and execute your own movement on the field. Since this paintball skill can be practiced with a stationary target, it lends itself easily to solo training. I have found that the best way to incrementally increase my shooting accuracy while running is to start with a target more or less in the direction I am running, and gradually open the angle between my direction of movement and my direction of shooting. Make a sudden dramatic increase in the angle between the running direction and the shooting direction of your paintballs can enlighten one to the odd way that balls seem to travel when everything is in motion. Shooting at a target that is too big or too close will not help as much as selecting something that you can only just hit. If you are nailing the target all the time, you need more resistance. I like shooting construction cones I nabbed in Sidcup at around 90 feet and closing.
