Paintball Hints and Tactics Article!

Here’s some tips to becoming a better paintballers with drills you can do on your own at any on of the sites in Slough. A drill you can do is practicing sliding. Actually, you can practice sliding without being at a paintball field. A good slide will mean landing arms or hands first, from a low forward leaning stance, followed by the hips then legs rolling onto the ground. The force with which you hit the Slough floor should be far less than the force moving forward (if you do it wrong your gonna break an arm or paintballs in your loader); this is what distinguishes a slide from a face-plant. You must have forward momentum and you must run low to the ground. As you run, extend your upper body past your centre of gravity; push off with your feet, but with more emphasis on pushing forward than up. To get the proper slide, you must push your hips towards the ground as your hands touch down get a friend to come paintballing with you to Slough and give you tips. This might sound pretty elementary, but for good reason. Paintball Training your body to do this without thinking about it requires a lot of repetition, and sliding is a vital tool that I see done with a complete lack of grace quite frequently. A good slide looks completely different from a bungled slide. Sliding well is a bit like shooting a semi-auto gun at 14 paintballs per second – a lot more people can claim the skill than actually seem able to put it into effect on the paintball field. Health should be reward enough to motivate anyone to sustain fitness or you can visit a slough physio. A competitive paintball player will be a better player is he is a better athlete. Running speed, kinaesthetic awareness, cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance all come into play in paintball.
