Sliding into your Sunderland bunker doesn’t sound important, but it’s actually one of the bigger aspects of playing paintball. It can help when you move on all manner of Sunderland surfaces and can very possibly minimise your chances of getting hit. Another added benefit is you can look really cool doing it, which of course is the most important thing. First things first, let’s cover the proper safety apparel when playing paintball. One of the most important things you need when you play paintball is knee pads. If you don’t play with pads at Sunderland you are just waiting for a contusion or worse yet, a laceration. Also, another added benefit is knee pads can add some support and prevent muscular injury. Second on my list are slider shorts that’ll protect your hips from strawberries and also most of them have a pad on the front to protect the all-important family jewels. Third would be elbow/forearm pads, these protect you when you try those head first, smooth as silky type dives. The new Ground Pounder line from Empire is probably some of the best protective great I have ever seen, even if they weren’t my sponsor. Now lets go over the different types of slides in paintball. Don’t worry about the names, like the Inuit and snow there are lots of different names for the same thing. There is the knee slide, tripod knee slide, superman dive and the baseball slide. If you are playing on this Sunderland surface you will need to plan your slides out accordingly. You can easily slide too far, so be careful not to carry too much speed as you slide into your bunker, or start earlier.
