Welcome to iPaintball. We have visited many paintballing venues throughout the UK, and using our experience of the site, and customer feedback, produced a list of the finest locations of go to. Thetford, which is located in near Norwich, has some of East Anglia’s best centres. Some of the sites is located in Thetford forest, which is also used by the military. This gives you, the customer the chance to become a commando for a day.
The paintballing sites have been credited for their games, professionalism of staff and overall quality of venue. They have many different game types to play. They include fuel dump, the lodge, speedball and the village. These games are fantastic to play, combining individual skill and teamwork to beat the opponents. The Thetford sites use industry leading paintball markers, which are regularly maintained to ensure you will have a great day at the centre. Thetford is often attended by stag/hen parties and corporate groups, looking for an activity to help with team building. It is located only a few miles from Norwich, in the Norfolk and just north of Suffolk so it is perfectly located for people living in both counties.

After you’ve gotten good enough to move up to the Novice national teams from Thetford, now the costs skyrocket, as does the commitment necessary from the paintballers. Unfortunately, the value of the team as a promotional tool does not skyrocket. Frankly, I don’t know how Thetford teams can do it anymore unless they are owned by the paintball store or field that sponsors them. At least in those cases the purchasing power of the business can attract sponsors. If the field buys enough paintballs, they might be able to get free event paint, jerseys, pants and gloves. Thetford players cannot realistically expect more then that. Maybe you can land some deals for discounted gear, but you are not going to get three free markers or Halos and you are not likely to get your entry fees paid for unless your patron store decides to foot the bill for you. I think a lot of Novice level national teams are still working for a large part of their sponsorship – reffing local Thetford events to raise entry fees for national ones. I know from the Thetford local teams in my area that the players are paying for their hotel, rental car and airfare, as well as practice paint. Simply put, for a national sponsor, there is no promotional value in a Novice team. There is value in supporting customers, though, so sponsorship can work through the local stores and paintball fields, going from the national companies to the local companies to the teams. Even after you’ve hit this level – national play – this is still a very expensive sport. That is not going to change. As long as you are going to pay a lot out of pocket.
