Watford has great access to the paintball sites throughout London. You can access the sites using any number of main roads such as the M25 and M1 motorways. You can also get to some of the sites using the national rail network, as Watford junction is based here. Some of the paintball sites have up to six arenas to play in. These arenas include the valley, speedball, rescue the president and the bridge. These games are fantastic to play with groups of friends and the venues are popular with stag/hen parties and corporate events. Businesses also come to these centres looking for an activity which can improve staff moral and help with team building.

Want to be a paintball referee, here are some pointers. The point is that you should be aware of what’s happening on the rest of the field but make sure you’re paying attention to your area of responsibility. You can break Watford zones down in a number of ways, depending on the field layout, number of referees and how games are progressing. For example we assign our referees – 4 corner, 2 centre and 2 sideline zones. Now we’ve got our refs in position, with good coverage for the breakout and early part of the watford game – corner and inside referees cover the area where the majority of players are expected to go on the break and the sideline paintball judges watch the most likely spots for players making the longer runs. Anyone running to the centre should be covered by the inside Watford ref, as well as the two sideline refs. So now we just watch the game, right? Wrong. Now we start to adjust to the game. As one side gets up on bodies, they’ll start paintballing and move down the field. The zones should move up with them. If there are three players in the centre and no-one left on the back line, there’s no point in having a corner judge watching empty bunkers. He should move up to help cover the middle third of the field so the sideline judge can move towards the end of the snake, anticipating players on the centre moving up. The corner judge on the defensive paintball side should move down closer to the defending players, watch for run-throughs and getting eliminated watford players safely off the field. Have the right mental attitude going in, remember to be active and decisive, and make sure you work as a team. The basic procedures are simple but just like playing paintball, you’ll need to practice and improve your skills if you want to make it to the big leagues.
