Paintballing in Westminster

Westminster is centrally located in London, which has some unique paintball locations. Being in London, some have limited space to house a centre. This means that some of them are close combat simulation venues. This can be great fun and lead to team tactics to beat the opposition. iPaintball have also located some outdoor venues for paintballing which are easily reached from Westminster by car or train. You can visit many sites located just outside of Central London, which have outdoor arenas to play in.

Both types of venue offer different and exciting paintballing experiences. The venues we have chosen all use industry leading equipment. The paintball markers use compressed gas to shoot up to 5 paintballs per second. This combined with excellent arenas to battle across will guarantee a memorable day out. Some of the arenas that they use are speedball, Vietnam village, barrels and rescue the president. We have experienced the venues ourselves, and combined with feedback from visitors to the centres, create a list of what we feel are the best paintball sites on offer to the Westminster region.

Paintball Hints and Tactics Article!

Here is a basic drill that can really help your game. Its so useful it cant be overestimated and its not in Westminster. All Joy practice sessions start with the break-out drill. The key word here is REPITITION. Its all about muscle memory and you need to do it as many times as possible. It is very key to get the first shots on target after the go signal. Step one is to put up targets on the other side of the field and try to hit them with your first three or four shots. The reason for this is that if the first shots don’t hit the target, chances are your opponent has already made it to the bunker. It’s not hard to hit the target after 8-10 shots, but that won’t help you much in a the Westminster paintball game. Also work on your technique of getting your gun up and shooting without too much movement. This is an area we cover in the ‘One-with-the-Gun’ Paintballing Pro school. Step two of the break-out drill is to take a few steps in any direction and shoot. Same thing here: it’s the first shots that count when playing in westminster. Don’t shoot 20 shots for each repetition; five or six are enough. Also make sure to come to a full stop after each repetition before starting a new one. Make sure you have at least a few seconds’ break before the next repetition. This is important because it’s your muscle memory at westminster you are training and you want to get the right memory ‘programmed’. Step three of the break-out drill is to start specialising the drill for different players. A front player needs to practice a short, fast run and then shooting, or shooting first and then making a short run.  Your corner back players when shooting paintballs need to practice their 90-degree runs to the back corners while shooting etc. just think about what role that specific player is most likely to have on the break-out and work on that.
